Mine (2025) rattles when twisted.

I got a 2025 Ioniq 5 too and absolutely love it.

Except for the lack of hitch availability. Ecohitch and Stealth Hitch are the only two options available at the moment and they’re both made in the US.

My handwriting isn’t great but it’s legible (by me at least). I’m old (40s)and still find it quicker to jot notes - especially when I need to add figures.

Yea, if the Supernote Manta had been available that is probably the way I would have gone. I’m really interested in their repairability/upgradeability angle. I’ve had a Framework laptop for ages that just grows with me. Less waste, less cost.

I have a Remarkable Paper Pro. I use it for notes, organization, reading books, etc. I love it.

The new Supernote is also a compelling option.

The ePaper display means I rarely have to worry about battery and the pen feeling is MILES better than any LCD I’ve ever tried.

My files all sync to my laptop and my phone, and it is way more comfortable to write on than a double screen device because I can have my ‘pad’ in letter orientation and my hand doesn’t run into the screen which can happen on the double screen devices.

It’s also fantastic for taking notes in meetings because I don’t have a laptop between me and the others and I don’t get distracted by notifications. It’s also light enough to disappear into my bag next to my laptop.

I sure wouldn’t say ‘all’. The first years of your mortgage you are paying the bank more in interest than you are knocking off the principal.

A $300k home with 20% down and an interest rate of 3.5% on a 25 year amortization schedule will see the buyer paying $8k in interest versus $6k towards the principal at the start. Over the course of the mortgage, the $300k home will cost $420k thanks to the $120k in interest the bank takes.

The article has some factual errors. The Hyundai and KIA EVs being sold in Canada are still made in Korea and therefore not subject to the tarrif. Production out of the Georgia plant is prioritized for the US market due to the US federal incentive (for however long that lasts).

Dagnabbit - I went all in on Proton as well. Why is it so hard to find an email provider that respects privacy and isn’t run by people with ‘problematic’ views (i.e. people who wish people like me didn’t exist)

I tackle this two ways.

I ensure that I have a progress pride bracelet, pin, or other clearly visible symbol of allieship on me at all times. I also have prominently displayed safe space signage around my office. There should be zero ambiguity of my support - my hope is that this both makes 2SLGBTQIA+ and any other marginalized individuals feel welcome around me, and I also find it reduces inappropriate jokes or comments from the broader organization. People KNOW that I will make a stink if they are assholes. I try to ensure a safe bubble around me.

The other thing I do is try to make it clear to my team that I care about them as people - they aren’t cogs in a machine.

Ultimately, it’s up to my team members to decide if talking with me will help or hurt. I just try to make sure that my door is wide open.

I wanted kids when I was younger, but wasn’t ready to give up my freedom. Once I was ready for kids the world (and the future in particular) looks so bleak that it doesn’t seem fair to the theoretical kiddo to say ‘hey, here’s a dumpster fire - good luck’. Instead I babysit for my friends and family, spoil the kids around me, and sleep in on the weekend. I also have more time for activism and trying to ensure a brighter future for kiddos.

No regrets.
